Ko Chang-20

Ko Chang is a beautiful island in the Gulf of Thailand near Cambodia, the interior is a protected national park & most of the beachs on the west coast...I was told by several folks to check out Lonely Beach & finally got there after a windy ferry ride & long pickup(taxi) ride...Lonely Beach is a very mellow place with very laid-back locals & few tourists in the summer...I stayed in a hut on the beach for 100 baht/night...met lots of cool travelers including Dominico(elementary school teacher from London), Alexandra(a Polish english teacher in Tokoyo), Marie from Copenhagen & several others....lots of 'chill' time playing the guitar & reading...a good book by Kevin Patterson on his adventure sailing from Canada to Tahaiti(& Back)...also 'The Poisonwood Bible' by Barbara Kingsolver about a missionary family in the Congo in 1960's....most of the days were cloudy but did get some sunshine before I left...
